Energy
Saving
We need
to save energy. Most of us are not involved with large studies
and tests or new technologies and techniques; things
like 'power factor
rectification' and 'harmonic filtration' are not a
part of our everyday lives.
But
energy saving can be. Quality management of power is generating
a lot of awareness these days to save on utility
bills for the individual and for large business.
Opting for energy saving products is something each individual
can do, to help reduce the overuse of energy and to contribute
to the large effort to reduce energy
consumption.
Energy
saving products are now everywhere. Home hardware stores have
staff that are increasingly knowledgeable about their energy
saving items for all parts of your home and office. You'll
already see very common things like energy saving lightbulbs,
water-saving toilets and showers, but they go much more
widespread than that.
Below: Energy saving products range
from the familiar to the strange and unusual: solar powered
watch, mp3 player, and boat; energy-saver lightbulb; energy
saving sink and toilet; solar powered room heater; a variety of
insulation.

Products
for controlling home fuel bills are radiator foils and radiator
insulation panels, glass wool insulation for insulating lofts,
ceilings and underside of the roof rafters, insulators for hot
and cold water pipes, hot water tank jackets, cold water tank
jackets and Eco kettles.
Energy
saving can spread to home-entertainment and even high-tech
gizmos around the house; gadgets include solar powered MP3 and
MP4 players with an integrated solar panel, solar powered radio
with an inbuilt solar panel which doesn’t require batteries and
adaptors, solar blue tooth GPS receiver that converts your
phone into satellite navigation system, mini wind turbines to
recharge your iPods and mobile phones, wind powered
rechargeable shavers, solar and water powered desk calculators
and solar powered lights.
Small
battery chargers can be used when traveling outdoors in hybrid
cars that use bio-diesel. Logmaker is used for
recycling burnable waste into fuel suitable for stoves,
barbeques and chimneys.
Energy
saving products are one half of your effort to reduce your
overuse of energy; the other half of the effort is not in
products, but in your awareness, your behavior. How can you
conserve energy through your behavior?
